How to Find Lost AirPods

1. How to Find Lost Airpods through Find My:

If you own an Apple device, they are higher chances of you connecting all your devices to Find My Device (by Apple).

Moreover, if you have already set up your iPhone or your iPad but not your AirPods, Find my Device automatically gets connected to your air pods as well. And then, you can go to Find My Device and easily locate your air pods.

In case your air pods are out of the case or not charged, you can still find the location where your air pods were last connected on Find My Device. Similarly, you can locate your AirPods through ‘Find My’.

However, if you cannot find the exact location, you can at least find the location where your AirPods were last connected eventually making your search easier.

Step by Step Guide to Find Missing AirPods:

  • To view your AirPods’ last-known location on a map, start by opening Find My.
  • Next, tap Devices.
  • And tap your AirPods in the list to take a closer look.
  • The map will show where and when your AirPods were last connected.
  • From here, Find My has a few options to help you locate your AirPods.
  • If your AirPods are out of their case and somewhere close by, tap Play Sound.
  • You’ll hear the sound. So you can follow the chime and find them if they’re in the next room or inside your coat pocket.
  • If your AirPods are in different places, you can tap mute left or mute right to focus on finding one at a time.
  • When you find one, tap Stop and place the AirPod back in its case.
  • If your AirPods are in their case, tap Directions to head back to their last-known location.

2: Using iCloud:

Locating your AirPods with iCloud is very simple. You just need to go to iCloud on your computer and sign in with your Apple ID. Then, open ‘Find iPhone’ and click on ‘All Devices’.

After doing so, you can click on AirPods and the respective location will be mentioned under the device.

3. By Playing a Sound Loud:

If your AirPods are connected to Bluetooth, you can play any sound loud from iCloud. Your AirPods play the sound loud for 2 minutes until you tell them to stop.
