Monsters have spent years craving to get away so they may find liberty and peace. When a small human child (player) falls underground by accident, monsters saw the hope of leaving the underground in which they are trapped. The player controls a boy who will stop in the “underworld.”

In this place, he will learn relationship lessons and how to deal with unexpected situations using only the power of forgiveness. It is possible to negotiate with all enemies to win without having to fight or kill. The game-play is very simple and easy battles exist but are not necessary.

Undertale Gameplay:

Once you started the game you will meet Toriel the caretaker of the Ruins. Toriel passes through the place every day to see if anyone has fallen down. Toriel will guide you through the catacombs. He will welcome you to your new home and educate you on how to survive in the RUINS.

The underground area is full of puzzles. Ancient bonding between deviation and door-keys. The player must solve the puzzle to move to another room and you have to adjust yourself all the way to survive underground.

To make progress in the game, you have to flip the number of switches. Toriel already labeled the switches that you need to flip. Once you flip the right one you will then move to the next room. As monsters living in the underground, they may attack you better you should be prepared for this situation.

However, do not worry, the process is simple. When you encounter a monster, you will enter a fight. While you are in a fight, strike up a friendly conversation. Stall for time and Toriel will come to resolve the conflict.

You can practice talking to the dummy.  It is better to avoid conflict whenever possible. It cannot harm you. Remember always stay close to Toriel and he will keep you safe.
