First and foremost thing, we need to make sure all connections are made properly. Also, check for loose cables and cords on our headphones and speakers.
When we have multiple jacks it’s quite common to get confused and plug-in the wrong jack. In most of the systems, the green jack indicates audio output.
Headphone and Mic jack in front of the CPU will be indicated with the logo, so make sure it is plugged in correct jacks.
2. Power Connection:
Sometimes we also forget to connect the audio source to power, make sure it is connected to power.
Although it seems to be a very silly reason, some people will still do this and complain that there is a problem with the software.
3. Muted or Low Volume:
When no sound is heard or heard in very low volume then the speakers are muted or volume sliders are scrolled down.
It can be solved by pressing the speaker icon and unmuting it or scrolling up the slider and increasing the volume which is seen in the bottom right corner of the desktop screen.

6. Update Windows Completely:
When Windows is not updated properly it usually tends to misbehave, the audio problem is one of its outcomes. So make sure it is completely updated.
To check we need to go to settings, find Update & security tab, then select “Windows Update” in that and select “Check for Updates”.
If the system is completely updated then it will show that it is updated or else it will indicate that there are updates, select that and install it completely.
7. Run Audio Troubleshooter:
If none above works then go to audio troubleshooter which diagnose and fix the common Windows 10 no sound problem.
To do that, search audio troubleshooter in the search box, select fix and find problems with playing sound, then select the device and continue with troubleshooter.
8. Audio Drivers:
Audio drivers are the hardware whose malfunction may cause audio problems. If we don’t have correct software drivers for the audio device installed, then it may lead to Windows 10 no audio problem.
The outdated audio driver can also lead to this problem, so update the driver if needed or if it is updated try uninstalling the audio driver and reinstall it.
• To update audio driver go to the search box and type device manager and select sound, video, and game controllers, then right-click on the listing for audio device and select update driver, then select search automatically for updated drivers software, and it will be updated.
• To uninstall the audio driver go to the same section of sound, video, and game controllers, then right-click on the listing for audio device and select uninstall, check the driver, and then select Uninstall. Restart the PC to reinstall the audio driver.
9. Fault in Hardware:
Faults and defects in hardware may have caused the audio problem. This has a very little chance of occurrence, but still, it can’t be neglected.
