How to Fix Windows 10 Startup Problem?

2. Clean Boot:

It is the easiest way to resolve startup issues. In order to troubleshoot problems that affect services, you can conduct a clean boot by using the System Configuration or Microsoft Configuration (MSConfig).

You need to choose “Selective startup” to check the services one at a time to find out which one is causing the problem. If you cannot find the cause, retry containing the system services.

In most cases, the troublesome service is a third party. You can disable any such service that you find to be faulty from the Startup apps. After the completion of Clean boot, before restarting your PC, select “Normal startup” to see the changes.

3. To Repair with Boot Codes:

You can use Boot Codes to repair the startup issue. For this, you will need to launch Command Prompt as an administrator. To do this, follow these steps:

• Click on the search button at the bottom left and type “command prompt”.

• The command prompt program appears, right-click on it and then click on “Run as administrator”.

• To enable Master Boot Code, run the bootrec /fixmbr

• If the corruption in the Master Boot Repair results in the separation table, running fixmbr may not repair the issue, in that case, run the bootrec /fixboot command to repair the boot sector.

If you receive BCD-related errors, then you need to do follow the following procedure:

• Check all the systems that are installed. For this, run the command Bootrec /ScanOS.

• Reboot the computer to check whether the issue is fixed or not.

• If you still face problems, then run the command Bootrec/rebuildbcd to rectify the issue.

4. Running the System File Check Utility:

If you are facing minor startup issues on your Windows 10, try the System File Check command. It scans the system for issues with the files and logs on your Windows.

To use SFC, run as an administrator in Command Prompt, and after that launch the command sfc /scannow.

5. By using Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM):

With the help of DISM, you can easily scan or restore the health of your Windows 10. You can also check your system’s health or cleanup images through DISM.

To run DISM, you need to run as an administrator in Command Prompt and after that launch the command dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth to check the system’s health.

After the scanning completion, you can restore your system’s health by running the command dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth to fix the issues.

Restoring the system’s health may take a few minutes to start and up to 30 minutes to complete.
