Among the solitaire, the Klondike solitaire game is the most widely known card game. Klondike’s free version was released in the year 1984, the game was only for Mac, and later the version has been updated continuously for Windows PC.
The Klondike game has been available for all Microsoft Windows operating systems, up to Windows 7. For Windows 8, 8.1, and 10 the game is integrated and available to download free on the Microsoft Store.
Klondike Solitaire Game Rules:
Deck: The deck is a set of 52 playing cards. A deck consists of four suits.
Suits: A suit is a combination of color and symbol for a playing card. Every suite includes 13 cards ranked from ace to king. There are four suits:
Red Suits are hearts and diamonds.
Black suits are clubs and spades.
Ranks: Rank is a card’s face value in relation to other cards. The ranks in ascending order are Ace, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, Nine, Ten, Jack, Queen, and King.
Stock: Stock holds the remainder of the deck. This is the supply of playing cards that you can use, one by one when no further moves are possible.
Waste: Waste holds cards from the stock that you cannot play to tableau or foundation directly. When you play a card from the stock and it does not fit anywhere, this card must go to waste. Often you can play cards from waste, one by one, as with the stock.
Tableau: Tableau is the main area holding the cards that have been laid out. By reordering cards in Tableau according to the rules of a particular solitaire game, you must achieve a layout such that it allows moving cards to the foundation.
Foundation: The foundation is a destination point for cards in a solitaire game. You must play cards from the tableau to foundations in order to complete the game.
Reserve: Reserve piles are places where cards may be put aside to be drawn from at a later time.
Space: Space is a spot occupied by a tableau column or reserve card.
Alternating Suit Color: Alternating suit colors means that cards are fanned in such a way that black and red suits alternate.
Objective: The main objective of the game is to move all the playing cards to the foundations.
Foundations: Build up in suit from ascending order.
Waste: The top card is available for play to the foundations or to the tableau.
Tableau: Klondike solitaire has the following rules when playing. You only move the king from a king onto a column, which is empty. You turn face down, and the cards in the columns immediately are free. A pile of cards in ascending order can be moved as a pile. Also, it is possible to move a card to a different column in a layout. It happens to be one lower and in an alternative color to the moving card. For example, it is allowed to move a red six to a black seven.
• Stock: Turn up one card at a time from the stock to the waste by clicking. Unlimited redeals are permitted until the game is blocked or won.
